As Highway Stars will tell you, or any other honest vendor, what to expect when using reproduction sheet metal. Reproduction sheet metal (from any manufacturer) is commonly known to need some adjustment or manipulation when installing on a vehicle. Every installer may have different skill levels, so please be sure you and your installer is aware and capable of performing the necessary work to complete the installation. Highway Stars does not accept returns on sheet metal. We encourage all buyers to research their options before purchasing and replacing sheet metal.

This door shell is manufactured (by Goodmark) to factory specifications for fit. Door shells are ready to install on your 1981-87 Regal, Grand National or GNX. The stamped steel construction features both an inner and outer structure as well as all properly located holes for door handle, latch, hinges and locks. All door shells are EDP coated for protection.
Regarding Minor Imperfections In Steel Panels: The sheet metal you receive may have scratches, dings, small dents and other minor imperfections, which are considered normal sheet metal characteristics due to the nature of the product. These minor imperfections are not considered damaged. These items will be easily corrected during the filling, priming and sanding phase of your sheet metal installation. All sheet metal panels will require some sort of manipulation during installation. Every panel that we sell is inspected and then carefully packaged to protect against damage that may occur during transit.

Test Fit All Panels Prior To Paint and Installation: We recommend test-fitting all sheet metal panels prior to final paint and installation. It is also recommended that the damaged area of the vehicle not be cut out before receiving the new sheet metal. Measure twice, cut once to be safe. Sheet metal panels are not a finished product like door handles and mirrors. Minor modifications including elongating mounting holes, adding shims etc. are normal and may be necessary when installing sheet metal. This is a consideration when reinstalling original GM panels as well as reproductions. It is important to note that hard driving conditions can twist frames and bodies out of original tolerances. Poor bodywork from previous collisions can cause problems with the body structures that the panels are attached to.
When your sheet metal is delivered, whether the item will be installed immediately or not, you MUST inspect the product to ensure no damage occurred in transit. You will need to carefully remove the item from the box, remove packing materials and inspect all sides of the product WHILE THE DRIVER IS PRESENT. If there is any damage, note the damage to the driver before the driver leaves, REFUSE the package and return it to Highway Stars. Please contact Highway Stars immediately via email or phone Failure to follow this procedure will result in loss of claim
Your shipment is insured by the shipper. – If you find your item damaged, you MUST have the driver note the damage at time of delivery receipt and/or refuse the item.
If you find the item damaged after you have signed and accepted the item, and the damage was not noted on the delivery receipt and Highway Stars was not immediately notified regarding the damage, Highway Stars will not honor the damage claim. By signing the delivery receipt in good condition, you are certifying that you have received your item(s) in good condition. If you ship to someone other than yourself, you must let them know to inspect the item(s) for damage. If they sign the delivery receipt certifying that the item was in good condition when it arrived and you find any damage after the fact, Highway Stars will not honor the claim.
