Brand-new lightweight AC Compressor for 1986-1987 Vin 7 Buick Grand Nationals and Turbo Regals w/6-groove pulley and C60 manual AC control.
This brand-new unit is made by the same manufacturer who made the new GM/ACDelco# 88964867 unit that we sold for many years.
It is NOT A REBUILT/Remanufactured or cheap aftermarket brand. Because it's brand-new, there is NO CORE CHARGE.
This genuine replacement part contains a pre-charge of PAG 150 oil which must be completely drained from the compressor if you will be operating with R-12 refrigerant.
Also included is a new seal washer kit.

1) Thoroughly reading, understanding and following all the supplied installation instructions

If you are using R12 refrigerant, the oil needed for the compressor is ester oil. You can purchase the oil via either of the links below:

NOTE: It is proper service procedure to replace the Accumulator/Dryer Accumulator/Drier - AC System - ACDelco and refrigerant Orifice Tube (click here: AC Orifice Tube - 1987 - ACDelco, OR AC Orifice Tube - ACDelco when replacing an AC Compressor. Failure to replace these parts when replacing the AC compressor may result in poor operation or premature breakdown.
When purchasing this brand new compressor from Highway Stars, if you do not include in the same transaction, the purchase of an ac drier/accumulator and ac orifice tube, the warranty on the AC Compressor will be automatically VOIDED, and is non-returnable, non-refundable.
Also, this new AC Compressor does not include a compressor mounted high pressure cut-off switch. This switch is available for purchase separately (recommended - SKU# 2724333 R ) Switch, AC Compressor Cut-Off - replaces GM# 2724333 or can be removed from the old compressor and re-used.
