    Product Description

    This is a SPECIAL 1987 ONLY custom molded Power Steering 2 pc hose set(reservoir and return hose) with ALL stainless steel Extended Tang clamps *& anti-abrasion hose cover. 

    NOTE: Highway Stars improves the quality of this product by going one step beyond to include these special extended tang style clamps.  Important for high pressure applications, special stainless steel extended-tang clamps spread the clamping force more evenly around the hose. There are no sharp slots in an "extended tang clamp" pressing directly into the hose, therefore the material can’t get damaged, can not push outward, nor “bulge” through the slits, like it can with regular standard hose clamps.

    Beware: Other non-molded aftermarket bulk hoses commonly sold at big box stores and by internet drop-shippers tend to kink and will cause your power steering pump to fail!

     

    In this listing, you will receive :

    1 ea -Brand-new correctly molded 1987 power steering reservoir hose (fluid feed to pump) for 1987 Power Steering Reservoir ONLY 

    1 ea - Brand New correctly molded power steering return hose

    2 ea - ALL STAINLESS STEEL ext. tang clamps (even the screw is stainless steel) for the 1987 reservoir hose

    2 ea - ALL STAINLESS STEEL clamps ext. tang (even the screw is stainless steel) for the return hose

    Both hoses are made to SAE specification for power steering and are reinforced.

     

    Features:

     

    • Molded hoses made in USA exclusively for Highway Stars to current A.S.E. J189 specifications.
    • Made of the correct rubber polymer for PS so it is durable and long lasting.
    • These molded hoses WILL NOT tend to kink or restrict flow because they are correctly molded.
    • Will NOT split or tear because they are NOT made of silicone

     

    NOTE: 1987 power steering reservoirs have straight outlet. The custom molded reservoir hose in this set fits the 1987 reservoirs perfectly with straight outlet & will NOT KINK.

      molded power steering hose

      To get the hose correct is hard but to get the clamps right almost imposable. I was prepared to use the OE clamps but these were made so the hose dose not come through the clamp
